Mr. Shankar Aggarwal is a 1980 batch IAS Officer of the U.P. Cadre. He holds a Bachelour of Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communications from the University of Roorkee, (now IIT, Roorkee)
and a Master’s Degree in Computer Technology of IIT, Delhi.

He was the Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Urban Development, and Ministry of Labour and Employement; Former Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
